Institutional Review Committe (IRC)

Annapurna Neurological Institute & Allied Sciences established the Institutional Review Committee in 2018 to value and promote its collaborative role in research and commit to ensuring that research conducted within the institution meets the highest scientific, ethical, and legal standards in biomedical research. The IRC of ANIAS review process is to ensure that any biomedical research conducted within its organization and sister organization has been followed ethically within the criteria subjected by the Nepal Health Research Council.

The initial protocol submitted by the researcher should be sent to IRC email (irc@ahc.com.np)  with an attachment of a self-declaration form as well as a conflict-of-interest agreement. The email will be checked by the IRC Office Secretariat and will be forwarded to the Member Secretary for initial review. Such proposal after the initial review will be forwarded to the reviewer maintaining the confidentiality of the principal investigator as well as other research team of the study. The researcher shall be notified about the amendment or aprroval via email.

NHRC digital platform shall be used in future after its implementation for receiving, communicating, approving and archiving the research protocol as well as reports.
