Laboratory

The Department of Laboratory at Annapurna Hospital offers a wide range of  investigation that is  conducted by a team of highly skilled technical laboratory personnel who work under the supervision of an experienced specialists. The team is responsible for the appropriate use of investigations and interpretation of results. It aims to provide excellent, cost-effective, evidence-based patient care in a clinically relevant turnaround time. The Department  has the most updated state-of-the-art equipment with complete backups; offer 24 x 7 round-the-clock services, with very short turnaround time.

A fully automated system, from bar coding to bidirectional interfacing of results, aids the process by reducing transcription errors. Our comprehensive Quality Assurance Program, both internal and external, is designed in a manner to monitor each step of the testing process.  Our commitment to continuous quality improvement, combined with an extensive training, enables us to provide the best service possible in the tertiary care hospital settings.

Department of Laboratory Medicine of Annapurna Hospital includes various subunits:

• Biochemistry: General Chemistry & Immunochemistry
• Pathology: Histopathology,Cytopathology, Hematology 
• Microbiology: Bacteriology, Mycology, Mycobacteriology, Infectious diseases serology & Parasitology.
• Molecular Diagnostic Laboratory: Molecular lab, PCR lab  ( installation phase)
